MEET OUR PASTOR
Andover Baptist's purposeful, devoted pastor Reverend Lyndon Myers, has been faithfully serving the Lord Jesus, our congregation, and our community for twelve productive years. With his life deeply rooted in the word of God, Pastor Myers is a gifted, dynamic preacher and an insightful, inspiring teacher. “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 2:5) is a key verse for him. It is his deep desire and prayer for his life and for the life of the church.
Called to Andover Baptist in 2004, Pastor Myers has demonstrated a constant, steady love for the congregation and the community, no matter what the need. He is a man of his word who is community-minded and committed to his flock. He knows all of his members personally. Because he leans on the Lord for direction and strength, he is a focused, resilient leader for the people of God. As a faithful steward of the grace of God and the word of God, he has taught the church to be mission driven in obedience to the Great Commission. He insists that the call to spread the gospel is a foundational principle. Pastor Myers exhorts all members of Andover Baptist to share the gospel joyfully with the unsaved people in their everyday lives.
By the grace and power of God, Reverend Myers’ relationship evangelism model has caused significant growth at Andover Baptist over the past 8 years. In his efforts to fulfill God’s purpose for his life through ministry, along with a dedicated team of deacons, and ministry leaders, Pastor Myers is leading the church in a direction that moves members from membership to discipleship. Through Christian education and training, Andover Baptist is making meaningful moves into the new millennium.
Reverend Myers is leading the church to restructure for a more effective ministry. He has developed a four-point vision that enables the church to fulfill the mission. The vision focuses on evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, and worship. Each of the congregation’s ministries has a mission statement that is aligned with the vision and keeps everyone on track and Christ-centered. A key component of Pastor Myers' vision for church growth is membership interaction and fellowship, which he strives to develop at every level.
